Advancing Dance Education Bursary
Moose Jaw Festival of Dance is thrilled to announce the introduction of our Advancing Dance Education Bursaries. Our bursaries are designed to assist teachers and dancers with the costs of programs, workshops, seminars, and training opportunities that further dance education beyond regular instruction.
Activities that are eligible for funding include workshops, seminars, and training opportunities outside of regular dance classes. The costs that are eligible to be covered are:
Tuition/Fees (partial - full)
Assistance with covering costs associated with experience scholarships won at Dance Inspirations, which may include travel and/or accommodation assistance as available funds allow for such.
*costs above tuition/fees are considered only for scholarships awarded through Dance Inspirations.
Current and past participants of Dance Inspirations (dancers & teachers) are eligible to apply. Please fill out the Bursary Intake form on this page. Once this intake form has been received, applicants will be sent an Application Form to complete and submit electronically by the close of the application period. Participation with Moose Jaw Festival of Dance is taken into account when awarding bursaries.
Important dates and notes:
Our first bursary application deadline is June 1st, 2026.
Applicants will be notified of the status of their application by June 30, 2026.
Activities that occur before the application deadline are eligible for funding if they occurred after January 1, 2026.
Future activities that will occur after the application deadline are eligible for funding.
Each activity may be funded only ONCE.
Please note that the completed Application Form and any related documents must be submitted by June 1, 2026 and that the Bursary Intake form is a separate first step that must be submitted prior to receiving the application form via email.
Payments will be in the form of reimbursement, distributed upon proof of attendance, receipts, and follow up report. Please note that no monies shall be distributed prior to the funded activity.
Moose Jaw Festival of Dance strives to meet the needs of all applicants, however, bursary funds are limited and applicants are not guaranteed to receive the funds requested.
